Social Research

Social research is the scientific study of society. More specifically, social research examines a society’s attitudes, assumptions, beliefs, trends, stratifications and rules. The scope of social research can be small or large, ranging from the self or a single individual to spanning an entire race or country. Popular topics of social research include poverty, racism, class issues, sexuality, voting behaviour, gender constructs, policing and criminal behavior.

Even though social research is most often conducted by social scientists or sociologists, it is an interdisciplinary study crossing into subjects like criminology, the study of crime; politics, the study of power; economics, the study of money and business; psychology, study of the mind; philosophy, study of beliefs and morals; and anthropology, the study of culture and engineering, the study of technology to provide social entrepreneurship and empower the large groups with benefits of technology in various disciplines like mobile communication, Renewable energy systems for environment protection. Bio- mass fuel equipment for cooking and lighting etc.,

  • To provide principles of problem solution
  • To give remedies for a social problem
PACE IOTS is having a work group consisting of faculty and students of Mech and ECE branches group to design and development of Bio mass fuel based stoves for individual and institutional cooking. The burners and fans are designed by the this group and the work is done in association with REC company which is a established and operated by a social entrepreneur at Ongole. This stove is designed to use Biomass pellets as fuel.
